The Embassy will be closed during the Christmas and New Year holidays. If you wish to have your passport returned before this period, we must receive your request no later than 17 December 2025.
No visa applications will be processed during the holidays. The Embassy reopens on 5 January 2026
Due to an
unexpected and increased volume of visa applications that the Embassy of
Denmark in Ankara is receiving, the processing time is much higher than normal.
The Embassy is doing its utmost to process the many applications as fast as
possible.
At the moment, we cannot define
how long the case processing time will be for newly submitted applications. We
are working hard to process all applications as quickly as possible and
according to the EU Visa Code and Danish Visa Guidelines.
It is not possible
to prioritize or speed up individual cases because of personal travel plans.
Exceptions are only made for urgent reasons, such as official meetings or
serious illness of close family members in Denmark.
We are currently
handling cases received at the Embassy from the 11th of August 2025 and onwards.
Kindly secure a
time slot at VFS Global to submit your application as soon as possible.
